I hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and have had extensive training in myofascial release, pelvic health, integrative dry needling, strength and conditioning, pre and post natal care, pain science education and musculoskeletal conditions from head to toe. I work primarily with those who are ready to pursue an active approach to recovery that emphasizes strength and mobility. Additionally, I specialize in working with athletes, specifically runners, bikers, crossfitters and pickleballers. I am committed to helping all of my clients see results that are long lasting and sustainable.
I embraced a less traditional Physical Therapy approach after training with John Barnes in Myofascial Release. What I observed in incorporating this work is that the body responds more profoundly when lighter pressure techniques are applied over time. Releasing muscles, joints or pain points does not require aggressive efforts, and the body holds the intelligence to heal itself under appropriate circumstances. Combining softer manual therapy techniques with appropriate strengthening exercises yields outstanding results that I can not wait to share with you. We are currently surrounded by a health care system that gives us many messages that our body is broken and we need something else–medications, surgery, injections–to fix it. While this is true in some cases, as a coach (not a hero) I sing a different song. Our bodies have everything they need to heal themselves, and it all starts with moving, thinking and feeling differently.
